CBD for Pets
CBD has been found to be helpful in treating a lot of ailments in humans...
But what about our pets?
Currently there haven’t been studies done about how CBD interacts with dogs. Any evidence we have of its benefits comes from dog owners experimenting on their own pets. So it’s important to keep in mind that these studies were not scientific, but that shouldn’t tarnish the results too much. After all, if it works, it works, right?
Dogs have been found to have CBD receptors much like humans, however THC can be toxic for dogs. But rest assured that unlike Medical Marijuana, CBD does not contain THC. There are many things that pet owners have used CBD to treat, and here are just a few of them.
Many dogs get anxious during thunderstorms or fireworks, but also when you leave for work every morning. CBD can help calm those nerves.
While CBD will likely not cure your dog, it can help to reduce the duration and amount of seizures your dog has any given day.
CBD has anti-inflammatory properties, which can reduce the joint swelling that leads to arthritis.
CBD for use in cats is just as un-studied, but CBD has been used by cat owners for the same symptoms as dogs with similar results.
